Trevor Louisy is the Managing Director of St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) and, since his appointment on January 1, 2004, has served as a Director on the Board of LUCELEC.
Mr. Louisy holds a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of the West Indies, and has advanced training in business and strategic change management from York University, Canada. He completed the renowned utility regulatory programme at the University of Gainesville Florida.
He joined LUCELEC in 1986 as a trainee engineer, moved through the ranks and in 1995 was appointed Assistant Chief Engineer. In 1996, he was seconded to Anguilla Electricity Company Limited (ANGLEC) where he served as General Manager from February 1996 to August 1997, strategically repositioning the company during a particularly difficult transition period.
In September 1997, he returned to LUCELEC and was appointed Chief Engineer. In his current capacity as Managing Director, he has overseen the development of a number of strategic business plans for LUCELEC, which continue to position the Company as a world-class provider of energy and other services.
Mr. Louisy is an Accredited Director (Acc. Dir.) and has served on a number of boards in St. Lucia, and regionally. He has also served for more than 18 years on the CARILEC Board of Directors, including as Chairman and Vice Chairman.
